I retired from the Air Force, three plus years ago. My career took me many places around this globe and I enjoyed them all...from North Dakota to China, Italy, etc. I've been teaching ESL to adults in my fifth year now and really enjoy the partnership with the learners. I had an serious illness a few years ago that reinforced my love of life! Still enjoying the ride!
Not being an avid user of technology and gadgets, initially I wasn't looking forward to this CALL course. Dr. Wright's expertise and instruction made learning about CALL enjoyable. As the course winds down, I reflect on what I've learned about blogs, wikis, and Flickr, along with other technology tools. They can provide powerful learning opportunities for L2 learners. As an ESL teacher, I've added these tech' tools to my toolbox. Like sunflower fields that open themselves to the brightness of the sun, I too have opened my mind to the brightness technology offers.

First time on the blog!
Me and technology...what a pair! For academic purposes I see the value of blogging. However, not convinced for personal purposes.
